Enjoy a summer’s evening of outdoor theatre in our spectacular gardens with valley views. Chapterhouse Theatre Company will be performing two classic stories in August: Little Women and Beauty & the Beast. The American Garden Deli will providing drinks and small snacks for each performance.

Little Women

Chapterhouse Theatre Company are delighted to present Louisa May Alcott’s beloved coming of age story this summer. Meet headstrong Jo March and her sisters Meg, Amy, and Beth. Each sister is determined to pursue her own path in life, but though their dreams may be different, their family ties remain as true as ever. An uplifting and heartfelt tale of the March sisters’ journey into adulthood and all the trials and triumphs that come with it, Little Women features authentic costuming and a beautiful musical score.

Beauty and the Beast

Join Chapterhouse Theatre Company this summer for a brand-new telling of this classic fairy tale. When an arrogant prince is cursed to live as a hideous beast, his only hope is a kindly young woman in search of a rose. Featuring a delightful cast of specially crafted puppets, lively original songs and sparkling humour, Chapterhouse Theatre Company’s rollicking new adaptation of Beauty and the Beast is perfect for all the family!

Things you need to know

Outdoor theatre begins at 6.30pm and finishes at 8pm.

On arrival, please check in with the Ticket Office who will give you more information about your visit and direct you to the performance location, which is in the gardens. Please arrive at least 15 minutes ahead of the start time to check in and make your way to the location, which is a 5-minute walk from the Ticket Office.

Parking is free. If the main car park is full, please follow our signs to the additional parking, just a short distance up Claverton Hill from the main car park.

Drinks and small snacks, supplied by the American Garden Deli, will be available to purchase at the event.

We are a non-smoking site. We politely ask that only alcohol that is purchased at the event is consumed in line with our onsite license requirements.
