Soak up the stunning views across the Limpley Stoke valley while you enjoy the music, and choose from an array of light supper and refreshing drinks options at the American Garden Deli.

There are two ticket options:

  • Terrace table tickets, at tables of 4.
    If you select these tickets and do not purchase in a group of 4, you will be seated with other guests.
  • Lawn tickets
    Feel free to bring rugs or fold-out chairs

Lazy River Band

The Lazy River Band is a vocal-led jazz quartet from Bristol with an authentic, intimate, early-jazz sound, and a superb repertoire of songs mainly from the ’20s to ’40s.

The band includes a stunning, sultry vocal delivery from Rachel Lawrence, perfectly supported by Bill Frampton and Gus Dolding’s skillful and unique comping. Greg Sterland’s accomplished tenor saxophone playing completes their unique, vintage sound.

Saxophonist Sam Crockatt is a graduate from the Royal Academy of Music and is a Parliamentary jazz award winner. He has played to audiences both domestic and European and has released three albums to widespread critical acclaim.  

Elliot Galvin is one of the most original and in demand pianists on the European jazz scene. He has appeared on numerous recordings including a solo piano album live at Foundation Louis Vuitton, Paris.  

Henrik Jensen (double bass) has worked all over world from the Blue Note in Tokyo to concert halls in Moscow while still keeping busy on the London jazz scene.  

Drummer Dave Smith is best known for his work with Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters, Fofoulah, and Afro-Blues group Juju. He has recorded drums for Rachid Taha, Bassekou Kouyate and Robert Plant and has performed with Patty Griffin, Donny McCaslin, Chrisse Hynde and Eddie Henderson.

Things you need to know

Doors open at 5.30pm, and the music will begin at 7pm. The event will conclude at 9pm. 

On arrival, please check in with the Ticket Office who will give you more information about your visit and direct you to the concert location in the gardens. Please arrive at least 15 minutes ahead of the start time to check in and make your way to the location, which is a 5-minute walk from the Ticket Office. 

Drinks, snacks and light suppers will be available to purchase from the American Garden Deli. We politely ask that only alcohol that is purchased at the event is consumed in line with our onsite license requirements.  

You are welcome to bring your own folding chairs and blankets. 

We are a non-smoking site.  

Parking is free. If the main car park is full, please follow our signs to the additional parking, just a short distance up Claverton Hill from the main car park.
