Forest Bathing

Assorted autumn dates

Take time out to connect with nature, relax, and restore your energy this autumn, with forest bathing at the American Museum & Gardens. Join Bath’s expert forest bathing guide, Tania Orgill, for a guided session along our beautiful woodland walk. We have sessions for adults, parent and baby, and families. We go to the Deli after each session, to come together and have a chat, so please join the group for refreshments if you would like.

Adults

10am–12.30pm

Along the woodland walk, you will be taken through a series of mindfulness invitations, enabling you to immerse yourself in the sights, sounds and smells of autumn and soak up the forest atmosphere. We will explore how the forest can be a gift for our mental and physical wellbeing, bringing us back to ourselves. You need not be put off by the chance of rain. We have found that you make a better connection with nature during sessions in the rain. Please note, if you are not a member, you will need to purchase admission to the American Museum & Gardens as well as an event ticket.

About Forest Bathing

Research shows that forest bathing reduces stress hormone production, improves feelings of happiness and helps you to think more clearly. It helps to lower heart rate and blood pressure, boost the immune system and accelerate recovery from illness. As you unwind and recalibrate, your nervous system will relax, and you’ll leave the forest feeling centred, grounded and calm.
