Garden Grooves – Sam Crockatt

Join us in our spectacular gardens for a summer’s evening of jazz music and American-inspired food and drink. Soak up the stunning views across the Limpley Stoke valley while you enjoy live jazz by Sam Crockatt and his band, and choose from an array of light supper and refreshing drink options at the American Garden Deli. 

Choose between a terrace ticket with a table and seats near the band, or a lawn ticket where you can relax on your own blanket or seat.

Saxophonist Sam Crockatt is a graduate from the Royal Academy of Music and is a Parliamentary Jazz Award winner. He has played to audiences both domestic and European and has released three albums to widespread critical acclaim.  

Rebecca Nash is firmly established as one of the brightest jazz talents in the UK and is now garnering an international reputation for her distinctive sound, full of artistry and heart. 

Henrik has worked all over the world, from the Blue Note in Tokyo to concert halls in Moscow, while still keeping busy on the London jazz scene.

Dave Smith is best known for his work with Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters, Fofoulah, and Afro-Blues group Juju. He has recorded drums for Rachid Taha, Bassekou Kouyate and Robert Plant and has performed with Patty Griffin, Donny McCaslin, Chrisse Hynde and Eddie Henderson. 

Expect an evening of jazz standards with a few unexpected twists and turns!

Things you need to know

  • Gates open at 6pm, with music starting at 7pm. The event is due to end by 9pm. 

  • Drinks, snacks and light suppers will be available to purchase from the American Garden Deli.  

  • We politely ask that only alcohol that is purchased at the event is consumed in line with our onsite license requirements.  

  • You are welcome to bring your own folding chairs and blankets. 

  • Please note that our terrace tickets are seats at tables of 4. If you purchase these tickets and do not purchase in a group of 4, you may be seated with other guests. 

  • We are pleased to offer free parking. If the main car park is full, please follow our signs to the additional parking, just a short distance up Claverton Hill from the main car park.   

  • On arrival, please check in with the ticket office team who will give you more information about your visit. 

  • Please be aware that we are unable to provide a refund unless the event is cancelled.   

  • Please note we are a completely non-smoking site.
