Weddings

The American Museum & Gardens is located within an area of outstanding natural beauty, with spectacular views over the Limpley Stoke Valley. It is location for a wedding celebration. Claverton Manor is a beautiful Grade-1 listed manor house situated at the top of a parkland on 125-acre estate, including vast expanses of lawn, American gardens, and stunning views of the countryside. Located just a five-minute drive outside of Bath, this amazing wedding venue can tailor your celebrations to suit whatever style of event you are looking for, from traditional to contemporary.

Our wonderful and unique wedding venue is a fabulous option for both smaller, more intimate occasions through to larger and more elaborate celebrations. No matter what your preference is, the American Museum & Gardens will be a stunning backdrop to celebrate your joyous partnership.

Our Spaces

Coach House & Stables

These buildings have been restored into modern spaces that can be easily decorated to fit with your wedding theme. The Coach House & Stables must be hired together if seating for over 50 is required. Our Mount Vernon garden, located next to these buildings, provides a beautiful backdrop for wedding photos as well as the drinks & canapé reception

  • Both Licensed for Civil Ceremony
  • Stables – Up to 120 seated guests on round tables
  • Coach House – Up to 50 seated

Coach House & Stables

South Lawn

The South Lawn is perfectly landscaped against the backdrop of the Manor House. With space to hold a marquee for up to 250 guests, this is an ideal location to make the most of the gardens as a whole and with a clear marquee make the most of the magnificent views across the Limpley Stoke Valley and gardens.

Eat Five Star, our caterers for weddings, have an excellent reputation for fine dining and first class service. They are dedicated to providing a tailored wedding experience.

Marquees are hired separately and not included in the venue hire price. County Marquee is our preferred vendor.

Garden Café & Terrace

The Garden Café and Garden Terrace are also available to host a wedding breakfast, however special consideration must be made if you would like to hire this space during our opening hours. This area may be hired at an hourly rate.

  • The Garden Café holds 60-100 for seated
  • Terrace holds 80 seated

There are so many ways to use our venue and gardens to create a magical wedding for you and your guests. We highly recommend having a tour of our property.
