Work experience

AM&G offers three types of work placement experience for students aged 16-18.

To apply, please write a paragraph stating which of the 3 options below you which to select (please only select one) and what interests you about being at the American Museum & Gardens for your work experience placement. Please send to [email protected] by the 7 January 2025.

Applications will be reviewed in January for opportunities in 2025.

Gardens:

Come spend time with our skilled garden team. We offer 4 day placements from Tuesday-Thursday up to 3 times a year for 2 students at a time.

Museum:

Join our friendly and dedicated museum teams to learn about Visitor Experience, Learning, Volunteering, Marketing and Curatorial work. We offer 5 day placements, 2 times a year for up to 5 students at a time.

Catering:

Work alongside our amazing catering team in our popular American Garden Deli. We offer 5 day placements, 2 times a year for up to 5 students at a time.
