Why we need your support
The Museum is dependent on the generosity of individuals and organisations: We receive no UK or US government funding. This is why your donations and legacies are so important to our continued existence. Without your support, our doors would have to close and with it over 55 years of cultural service to our local, regional, and national communities.
Every gift, no matter how small or large, can make a real difference to the well-being of the Museum. In recent years, individual donors and organisations have helped the Museum to:
- revamp its Textile Room, showcasing our wonderful historic quilts
- hold a season of Native American arts and performances, rare in the UK and Europe
- create a needed maintenance building to keep our extensive gardens in tip-top shape
Your donations and legacies can help us to continue to offer future generations the benefits of our outstanding permanent collection, including our stunning quilts and textiles, our beautiful gardens, as well as our popular courses, workshops, music concerts, and other events.
