Full description »

Little is known about this large woven blanket that has been identified as created by Native Americans. Traditionally blankets made by the Navajo were used as shawls, bed coverings, or as a door covering for a Hogan (a traditional dwelling). They were not used as floor coverings. The narrow white horizontal stripes stand out starkly against the dark blue and brown stripes that cover most of the blanket.
