Fashion Archives on Film: Beatrice’s Facts
What would a fashionista take on a trip to a desert island? Meet Beatrice Pratt in the year 1916.
Beatrice Pratt was a wealthy New York socialite and mother to Dallas Pratt, co-founder of the American Museum in Britain. This film is based on information from her letters and diary entries, which are held in the American Museum’s archives.
Fashion Archives on Film was a joint project by the American Museum in Britain and the Fashion Museum. Students from Bath Studio School created six short films based on their research about Beatrice. The project was funded by South West Museum Development Programme using public funding from Arts Council England
