Introduction to Ojibwe Woodland Beading
May 26 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Join us for a very special workshop with Celeste Pedri-Spade and Robert Spade. Learn about the history of Ojibwe woodland style floral beading in Ojibwe (Anishinabe) culture and create a small beaded flower.
Learn about the history of Ojibwe floral beadwork and examine some of Celeste’s and Robert’s fully beaded items. Then, following a demonstration of art practice, work in small groups to prepare materials and then bead your own small flower.
There will be two short breaks for refreshments (not provided) during the workshop.
All materials required for beading will be provided.
