Brilliant Beasties at the American Museum & Gardens
Come along to the American Museum & Gardens for our monthly sessions for pre-schoolers and their parents/carers during term-time. We will be singing songs, telling stories, sharing rhymes and making something together, while learning all about the “Brilliant Beasties”, our very lovely animal friends.
Each session will be led by Sally Warhurst who has many years of experience working with early-years and is passionate about encouraging children to explore their creativity, while building their confidence to join in with simple songs and storytelling with actions and props.
Things you need to know…
Activities are aimed at ages 5 years and under but we encourage family members, parents and carers to join in.
Sessions are programmed once a month on a Tuesday from 10.30–11.30am, but please arrive from 10.15 to say hello and get comfy. You will need to book each session separately so please check dates carefully.
Each session will be located in the Coach House at the American Museum & Gardens. As we are needing to direct pushchairs around the garden please allow 5 mins extra time to walk down to us.
Tickets for children under 5 and one accompanying parent or carer are £10 and must be booked in advance via Eventbrite. This includes normal admission of £7.50 for admission to the gardens, café and gift shop, plus admission to Brilliant Beasties for £2.50, therefore totalling £10 per ticket.
Children under 5 years of age and members of the American Museum gain free admission to the museum, gardens, café and gift shop as normal with their membership card, but will still need to purchase a ticket via Eventbrite to Brilliant Beasties at £2.50.
Tickets for extra accompanying adults and family members are subject to normal admission and can be purchased when checking in at our onsite Ticket Office upon arrival.
Numbers are limited to 16 children and accompanying adult per session.
Our Coach House has a baby change area and disabled toilet.
Afterwards, use your ticket to take a stroll around the gardens, play area and have a sit down in the café (with lunch boxes available for children, and great coffee!) or browse our gift shop. Please note that if wanting to visit the Museum Collection, located in the Manor House, or the Dress to Redress exhibition, this will be subject to normal admission charges and you will need to upgrade your tickets at the Ticket Office on the day.
If we need to cancel for any reason, we’ll be in touch.
If you have any questions, please contact us via email to [email protected] or by telephone on +44 (0)1225 460503.
