CHRISTMAS STARTS HERE
CHRISTMAS CRAFT FAIR AT THE AMERICAN MUSEUM
SATURDAY 22 and SUNDAY 23 NOVEMBER 2014
The American Museum in Britain is delighted to host the 2nd Christmas Craft Fair in its Stables and Workshop over the weekend of 22/23 November 2014.
After the success of last year’s fair, this year’s event has been carefully curated to feature a wide range of the best quality crafts and decorative arts, with local artists and craftspeople competing to be selected as stallholders.
‘We have chosen 28 artists to sell their work from a wide field of submissions and we are really excited to be able to display such high quality craftsmanship’, said Beatrice Goddard, Curatorial Assistant.
This is a wonderful seasonal opportunity to buy truly individual Christmas gifts, support local crafts men and women, see them at work on site and escape the frenzy of the Christmas high street.
The handmade gifts on sale include ceramics, jewellery, prints, textiles, wood turning and other decorative items. Craftspeople include: Sandra Atkins (Countrycraft), Elizabeth Barrett, Ian Beckton (Pear Tree Arts), Cath & Peter Bloomfield, Hans Borgonjon, Peter Cox, Jo & Andrew Eddleston, Nola Edwards, Sara Finch (Bower Hinton Bears), Jane Glaser (Bath Bespoke Beads), Cara Jane Hayman, Roberta Hopkins, Jane Johnson, Sarah Lewis, Clare Lloyd (Colour Design Jewellery), Sarah Martin, Stephen Mills, Pete Moncrieff Jury & Mo Goodfield (Bodrighy Wood/Wood & Gems), Jane Pearson, Alison Potter, Maggie Powell, Fiona Powers (Fiink Design), Space 1 (Martha Orr, Jane Elizabeth Skuse, Jo Corbett), Eleanor Swinhoe, Sheena Spacey, Quercus Silver, Sarah Truscott, Kate Westcott and Josephine Willis.
The Fair is open from 12-4.30pm on Saturday and Sunday. Parking and entrance to the Fair is free. Visitors also have access to the Museum’s Christmas shop and café.
The American Museum’s annual Christmas displays and gigantic Christmas tree in the main house are also open to visit at these times. Admission payable.
Museum Admisssion: Adults £9, concessions £8, children £5, family £25, Gift Aid rates available.
