If you have a fascination for fabrics, then this specialised guided tour will be just the thing to enhance your visit.

The American Museum houses a world-famous collection of textiles, embroideries, weavings and prints, including a collection of over 200 historic quilts and rugs. Find out about a wide variety of pieces in our period rooms, including their construction and social history. The tour lasts approximately 1 hour and tickets are £6 per person.

If you are a member, please log in with your member ID or email on the ticket page. If you are not a member, please note you will need to purchase an admission ticket to the American Museum & Gardens as well as an event ticket.

Things you need to know

  • The tour begins at 11am or 12.30pm, depending on the timeslot you have booked, and will last about an hour.   

  • On arrival, please check in with the Ticket Office who will give you more information about your visit. Please arrive at least 10 minutes ahead of the start time to check in.   

  • If you are not a member, please purchase an admission ticket, which includes the gardens, museum, exhibition, deli café and shop, in addition to your event ticket.  

  • We are pleased to offer free parking. If the main car park is full, please follow our signs to the additional parking, just a short distance up Claverton Hill from the main car park.  

  • Please be aware that we are unable to provide a refund unless we close the American Museum & Gardens due to unforeseen circumstances or cancel the event ourselves.  

  • Please also note that we are a completely non-smoking site.
