New Native Art: Cara Romero

April 20, 2016 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

This talk has been cancelled due to low registration – sorry for any inconvenience,

Fine art photographer Cara Romero was raised on the Chemehuevi Valley Indian reservation in the heart of the Mojave Desert. She studied photography and cultural anthropology, developing a distinctive photographic style with a refreshingly modern Indigenous worldview. Her beautiful and compelling images invite viewers to abandon preconceived notions about Native art, cultures, and peoples. See Cara’s work at Rainmaker Gallery, Bristol.
