The American Museum is a British charity that is also supported, in America, by the Halcyon Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization. The Museum depends on the generous support of its friends – both in the United Kingdom and in the United States – in order to mount new exhibitions, care for our priceless collections, and run a considerable country house and 125-acre estate. We are grateful for contributions made by our members, our visitors, and our American Friends. US citizens can make tax-deductible donations through the Halcyon Foundation. Current projects that we are raising funds for include the refurbishment of the Textile Room, the expansion of the American gardens, and conservation of objects in the collection.

Donations in the UK may be made by cash (payable at Reception desk only), cheque, credit or debit card. Please send cheques, payable to the American Museum in Britain to The Membership Office, Claverton Manor, Bath, BA2 7BD. Payment by card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, or Delta) can be made by telephone, please call 01225 823014.
